Happy Halloween!
We went to Trick or Treat on the street in Downtown Edmond on Saturday night. We usually get there early but, we didn't make it until right when it started and it was already SO crowded so we didn't stay long. We got a little bit of candy (not that we needed ANY more) and Carson played on the inflatables.

Pioneer Woman Book Signing, Oklahoma City!
Wow! What a night! My mom and I have planned for months ever since we knew that Pioneer Woman was writing a cookbook that we would have our chance to chat with her and get her to sign the cookbook. It was such a fun but very LOOONG night! It was to start at 6:30pm and we got there a little after 6pm and the line was all the way down the mall, to the doors and wrapping back around. HOLY COW! There was so much energy and anticipation in everyone. We waited, and waited, and waited. At one point, her girls walked to the back of the line and a lady that was with them said, "we've got to go tell your mom that she has to hurry!" It was so funny, people were going giddy even when her daughters walked by, some getting their autographs. Then at 7pm, a lady walked back and told us that she had only talked to about 10 groups of people. I was going to be a LOOONG night! My friend and I that has to remain unnamed went to get some water from the little cafe and I snapped this pic of her. She's so adorable! I waved and said, we'll see you in a couple of hours. :)

The her fabulous sister and adorable nephew Elliott walked by and chatted. She ended up talking to the group behind us that had driven in from Amarillo and then at 11:15pm drove home. YIKES!

She told me she loved my name and had seen it first in a baby name book. She thanked us for waiting so long and I told her that I had to wait and get pictures to post on my blog. She asked what was the name of my blog. She spent a few minutes with each group of people and that's why it took so long. Then towards the end she felt bad for everyone waiting so long and I think she wanted to be sure she spent time with us all. It was great fun! Of course later, I thought of things I should have said or asked her. I really think that she should have offered a weekend at the lodge for those of us that waited so long. :)

LONG line, this doesn't even begin to show you how long it was.
Marlboro Man, signing my book.
He wasn't wearing Wranglers or a big belt, what's up with that?

Finally there! 5 hours later! She was so gracious and funny, and witty, just like you would expect.

Storybook Forest 2009
We went last night to story book forest at Arcadia Lake. It was a little bit chilly but lots of fun! The kids got even more candy! We went on a little hayride but, it was dark at that point so, no pictures.

Church Fall Carnival 2009!
Our church carnival was on Sunday night and it's always a huge hit with my kids. Games and Candy, what more could you ask for. Here's our little Abby Cadabby. I was SO surprised at how many people didn't know who Abby was! Anyway, I thought her costume turned out pretty cute

Addison Hope
Some of you long time blog readers may remember when sweet Addison was born. She is now a bright, sweet 3 year old with a bright hope for her future. She will be having hip surgery next week and we pray that this will be what she needs to continue to grow and gain strength. We know God has big plans for this little one and her sweet, sweet family! Please join us in remembering her in your prayers. We love you Addie!

Annual Pumpkin Patch 2009
We went a couple of weeks ago to the Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch not to far from our house. It's a small patch but packed with plenty to do in a couple of hours. We decided to go right after I got home from the Race so I was pretty tired. We also decided to go right during Kerrigan's nap time. But, it was still super fun and the kids had a great time!

And the bunnies! Luckily it wasn't a repeat of the "Bunny Incident of 2008" Check out the link, you won't believe how tiny Kerrigan was.

Race for the Cure 2009
I ran a couple of weeks ago in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Oklahoma City. This was my second year to run in celebration of my Aunt Wanda. She has her 6 month check up in a couple of weeks and we are all prayerful that she'll remain healthy. It is such a fantastic atmosphere and I HIGHLY recommend anyone to walk or race in it. It's like nothing else. I'm just about in tears the entire time reading the backs of everyone's shirts. Racing for their moms, grandmothers, daughters, and friends. My ultimate goal this year was to race without stopping. I was successful in that and another goal was to race in less than 30 minutes and I had a time of 31:27. I was still pleased. My goal next year is to hang in there with Laura who had an amazing time of just over 25 minutes. I placed #372 overall of the women. I hate to say it but, I'm actually enjoying running. I have injured my feet but, I'm working on that to heal. It stinks getting old!

Wildlife Expo!
This was our fourth year to attend the Oklahoma Wildlife Expo! It's always such a great time.
Carson touching a HUGE centipede!

Carson got soaked just like I told him he would. Then they walked on the dirt floor of the arena and they were caked in mud. As Kyle was putting his shoes back on, this falcon flew right next to him. Notice how soaked his pants were.

Kerrigan's 1st Day of School!
Today was the much anticipated 1st Day of School for Kerrigan. She is going to Sonshine School at our church one day a week. She was pretty excited this morning to be going to school. She walked right in and never looked back. She instantly found the babies and started playing. I talked to one of her teachers around lunch time and she said she was doing great. I'm anxious to see how naptime goes. She may crash when we get home.
